This Privacy Policy applies to the BJJUnlock mobile application and the website at bjjunlock.com.

Information We Collect

BJJUnlock does not require an account and does not send your app data to a BJJUnlock server. The app stores information locally on your device so its study and app-blocking features can work.

The app may store the following information on your device:

• A locally generated user identifier used only inside the app.
• Your selected study packs, lesson progress, lesson answers, completion dates, and study session state.
• The package names of apps you choose to block.
• A local cache of installed app icons so you can choose which apps to block.
• Your local consent state for installed-app access disclosures.

Installed Apps

BJJUnlock can show a list of launchable apps installed on your device so you can select apps to block until your daily study is complete. BJJUnlock shows app names and icons in the app, stores only the package names of apps you choose to block, and keeps a local icon cache. BJJUnlock does not send your installed-app list or blocked-app choices to a BJJUnlock server.

Accessibility Service

If you enable the BJJUnlock App Blocker accessibility service, Android sends BJJUnlock window-change events, including the package name of the app currently opened, even when BJJUnlock is closed or not in use. BJJUnlock uses this only to check whether the opened app is on your blocked-app list and, if needed, return you to BJJUnlock until your daily lessons are complete.

The accessibility service is not configured to retrieve screen content, read text, perform gestures, or collect passwords or messages. BJJUnlock does not send accessibility events to a BJJUnlock server or share accessibility data with third parties.

Notifications

BJJUnlock may request notification permission so it can show an alert when a selected app is blocked. Notifications are optional and can be disabled in Android settings.

How We Use Information

We use locally stored information to operate BJJUnlock, remember your setup, track study progress, enforce app blocking, show app-blocking notifications, and let you clear or reset your local app data.

Third-Party Content

BJJUnlock includes Brazilian jiu-jitsu study content that may embed or open YouTube videos. When you view or open YouTube content, YouTube or Google may receive information according to their own privacy practices. BJJUnlock uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain where supported.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. Based on the current app implementation, BJJUnlock does not transmit your locally stored study progress, selected blocked apps, installed-app list, or accessibility events to us. Information may be shared with third parties only when you interact with third-party content, such as YouTube videos, or when you contact us for support.

Data Security

BJJUnlock stores app data locally using Android app storage, SQLite, SharedPreferences, and the app cache. Android's app sandbox helps protect this data from other apps. No method of storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention and Deletion

BJJUnlock keeps local app data on your device until you delete it, clear it in the app, or uninstall the app. The app includes a Clear Data option that deletes your selected study packs, lesson answers, study progress, and blocked-app choices from the device. You can also clear BJJUnlock data through Android system settings or uninstall the app.

Children's Privacy

BJJUnlock is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
